The biggest truth in the JW's.
That you will know them by their love. There isn't much there and that in itself distinguishes them from a lot of religions.

i hate cars.
they just cost money and eventually rust away.. however, given that it's pretty difficult to do anything without one in north america and that we now need another because angharad got a job (yay), does anyone have any good suggestions?.
things i want:.
My land rover is great. I have 2 jump seats in the back for when we have extra people. It holds a lot of stuff when there are not people back there.
It goes over anything. I drove through deep water and snow without any problems. Usually we get a lot of ice on the roads and I didn't slip and spin at all, I have slipped and spun in my hubby's big truck. I work on a big hill and I have no problem getting up or down.
It took me a while to get used to the window controls being in the middle...LOL!
I bought the manual from the dealership too, so we can avoid having our wallet raped in case of repairs....Everything on this car costs more and you can't just walk into the Autozone or Napa to buy parts.
That kind of stinks...LOL!
We had a Nissan Xterra before and it was also a great car, but I needed more space in case of company or friends for the boys.

i just found out through the grapevine that my brother had a pulmonary embolism (blood clot went into his lung and almost killed him) a couple of weeks ago.
he's ok now, and the doc has him on blood thinners, which he'll need for the rest of his life, to keep it from happening again.
it's pretty amazing that he survived, as these things are usually only diagnosed during autopsies, it's not too often people survive them.
Insomniac,
Aside from the black, blue, purple and yellow marks on my stomach from the injections of blood thinners, I haven't had any problems. Obviously, I won't be doing any bikini modelling....
I'm really upset about this, I'd been planning on doing some pregnant bikini modelling...Just kidding.
Nope, no problems at all. Before I was diagnosed, all the blood tests to find out what I had was annoying and a bit frightening. But now that I know what I have and how to take care of myself I feel a lot happier.
I am careful on long car rides, sitting at work and on airplanes. I get up and move about a lot.
We had also had our oldest son tested and our youngest as well. So far, no problems with them which is wonderful news.

My husband and I are pretty practical people...so we have 2 practical cars. We live in Massachusetts, which gets snow and other yucky weather and we also own a home which requires a lot of work and trips to Home Depot.
We also have 2 - soon to be 3 children...so we need room.
I want to go where I want to go when I want to go and he feels the same way. I also wanted to feel safe in case we are ever in an accident.
I used to be a paramedic, so am not fond of little tiny cars that turn into coffins when you crash.
I have a Land Rover Discovery II that seats 7 people and has 4 wd and goes everywhere...its sporty and extra safe.
My husband drives a Ford F150 Supercrew cab pick up truck.
We bought both of our cars when they were a few years old so we didn't have the loss of devaluation and we love them.

I have 2 blood conditions that cause my arteries to build up more quickly with plaque and also a higher chance of blood clots because of certain levels of things in my blood.
I went to a number of different hematologists. I take my medications faithfully because I want to be around for my children.
For me, its most dangerous when I am pregnant....which I am right now...pregnant with #3. I take daily injections of blood thinners and a bunch of other vitamins, minerals, & baby aspirin.
Definately go to your doctor and tell them what your brother has and ask to be referred to a hematologist. I hope your brother continues to do well. Knowledge is power, take care of yourself.

as you all know, my son is in baseball.
of course i'm getting to know the other mothers there on the team.
i've had zach in baseball for close to 3 weeks now and he's getting closer to one boys in particular.
I moderate a local Freecycle list and we have offers all the time for sporting goods and equipment. Try looking at freecycle.org and finding your local group. Join and ask for what she needs or pass the information on to her.
Also, when my oldest played soccer we were asked to donate our old equipment/shoes/etc to the association for kids who didn't have enough money to purchase the equipment. You may want to check and see if your team does this same thing.
I think you are very nice to care about your friend, its too bad her ex is such a jerk.

i recently moved back to my home town after being away for several years and doing the "fade".
i have family still in, so people heard that i was back in town.
i got six invitations to the memorial and a couple of phone calls about the special talk.
I will never understand why so many say they will be forced to disassociate. Those are their rules, not yours.
As long as you haven't been telling your family for the last few years that you have been attending meetings, I am sure they already know you are inactive.
You don't have to answer the door to anyone you don't want to. But you can be assured they will probably keep coming by until they meet you face to face to encourage you back to the meetings.
It's better to just tell them I appreciate your concern, but when I want to speak with you I will call or come to the meetings. Thank you - Goodbye!

Chrystal

just wondering what attractions are there and if you could recommend some must sees when you're there.. .
thanks in advance!.
In Boston you should definately pay the $5 and go to the the top of the John Hancock Tower and look at the beautiful city.
It really depends on what you like. If you love history...I can recommend many things.
If you like Art....you are in luck, we have fabulous museums! Also, depending on the kind of art you like I can make a recomendation on museums.
Walk down Newbury Street if you like shopping and art galleries.
Go to Harvard Square and see the Smart people...LOL!
The city is very walkable, also the Train will take you anywhere you want to go.
I love Salem, but if you don't plan on renting a car that may be too far for you to go.
Send me a PM if you want some more info!
Best Regards,
